22.4.10

Pressed release, will eject.

So I'm a bitch for hype. And sometimes I tend to hype myself up on purpose for an upcoming game or tv show. Its the nerd in me that I feel is responisble, one thing I do every thursday is check the press release for next weeks episode of LOST. And there is an unsettling pattern in every episode description. Allow me to demonstrate. I'll highlight the important parts.

"What Kate Does" - Kate finds herself on the run, while Jack is tasked with difficult choice, that could endanger a friend's life

“The Substitute” – Locke goes in search of help to further his mission

"Lighthouse" -
Hurley must convince Jack to accompany him on an unspecified mission, and Jin stumbles across an old friend.

"Sundown" -
Sayid is faced with a difficult decision, and Claire sends a warning to the temple inhabitants, on "Lost"

“Recon” - Locke tasks
Sawyer with a mission

"
Ab Aeterno" - Richard Alpert faces a difficult choice.

"Everybody loves Hugo" Hurley agonizes over what the group should do next (ed - a difficult decision/choice/mission?), and Locke is curious about the new arrival to his camp,

"*** *********" Jack must decide whether or not to trust Locke after he is asked to follow through on a
difficult task.

I dont think I even need to highlight the obvious repetition, but whoever writes these Press Releases needs to either start using a thesaurus, or come up with better ways of describing the episode without giving anything away. I left the last episode title censored as the title itself could be considered a massive spoiler. I would like to go on a Candy Date though. Imagine that? A date made out of sweets! I wanna be Jacobs candy date!
