Caution - Rat Race!

I've decided to not take part in that rat race everyone seems to do in life, that's been thrown at u almost every day since we were born. That we have to make it big, do well in school, go to a great college, get a great job and make loads of money to buy a bigger house and a better car and lots of things you can buy and then settle down and raise a family.
Everyones out to earn the most they can and I've only learned in these past few years that more money can always mean more problems and I'm done with it. I'm tired of been put under the pressure of doing my be for the approval and acknowledgement of others. I'd rather be judged on who I am personally, not what I've achieved. And I'd be much happier ending up with a mediocre job as long as I'm living and I'm free and have my friends and the people I love, than I would be working a well paying job with too much I don't know what to do with it. I'm almost certain having more money, like, alot of money, over the years would change me. I'd definitely become greedy, it seems to happen to most people. I hope never to become that.

So after I realised I typed a wall of text, and probably ended up talking in circles (too lazy to check) I've decided to forget about the race, and just focus on enjoying my life. I'm going to do it all at my own pace so if it takes me a while to get there and I'm not in such a hurry to get there like everyone else, I don't mind. I'm just going to take things at my own pace so i can take the time to enjoy my life... none of this makes sense. At all. Probably because, and I have a confession...

I tried to get to sleep tonight, but I couldn't. So I decided to watch this documentary Nlegg told me about (Its currently loading up... ) called The Union. Anyway I decided to roll beforehand but there was only one small skin left and no tobacco. So I decided to do this instead while i wait for it to load a good bit. I was trying to avoid making another entry because I was lazy...

So I'm here now and I'm wearing my girlfriends glasses... not sure why that's important but it may be useful further on. We were shooting in Liberties recycling plant today for a promo video they want done for their website and to send to possible investors or whatever. Those clothes banks you normally see when you're making a trip to a bottle bank after cleaning up from the recent house party before mummy and papa come home from their weekend away, well that's what Liberties recycling do. You put in your old clothes and soft teddy's and stuff and they collect them and pack them up and send them off to Africa to help build mud huts made of clothes or something, i dunno... There was ALOT of clothes. That's what I'd do. Build a fort!

However they don't just recycle clothes they also recycle people. Without divulging into specifics they basically help people who are way down on their luck in life and give them a new chance at living. They get regular work and there's an education section to the plant and they get certs in the end so they can have qualifications when looking for new jobs. So it was an interesting place to be in with alot of nice people both workers and the people who ran they place. And nobody seemed to mind us filming them doing something and then asking could they just do it again so we can get a sequence of shots out of it haha. So much stagery went on but it was good fun. I got to clock in and out a few times! Woo! Looking forward to editing it. On the time code from 00:40:00:00 to 01:48:23:09 is about 50 cutaways and sequences. And then interviews. Will be fun blurring everyones face out of it in editing. I tried to keep as much heads out of my shots and just get bodys and hands so hopefully Aoife did that with her shots. Blurring faces is a pain in the hole on the Avid we use in college... No face detecton! >:(

I could go on and on but I should end it. People should definitely visit the following if the links to them were to ever present themselves...
